Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, declares that he personally will "prevent the land, especially of agricultural designation, from becoming a market commodity". On Thursday, V.Lytvyn met the residents of Ovruch region within the scope of his working visit to Zhytomyr region.

 

V.Lytvyn also deems necessary to make an inventory of land. Moreover, V.Lytvyn insists that a Peasant Bank be set up.

 

V.Lytvyn expressed his regret of the fact that the Parliament failed to endorse the Bill on support of the agro-industrial complex under recessionary conditions, especially in the part of taxation.
