Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, calls on the representatives of authority to count on science, technologies, innovations and education in the attempts to overcome the financial crisis.
On Tuesday, V.Lytvyn delivered a speech before the students and the faculty of Dnipropetrovsk State Agrarian University. He underscored the importance of science and education in Ukraine, especially in the period of global crisis of civilization.
V.Lytvyn attributes great significance to the scientists and academicians both in the field of nanotechnologies and socio-humanitarian sciences.
V.Lytvyn supposes that classical scholars are concerned with "restoration of the world order under the conditions of actually destroyed world organization".
Concluding his speech, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called for granting the national status to Dnipropetrovsk State Agrarian University, as "the glory of the university, its accomplishments, alumni and scientific works entitle it to the status of a national university".
