In the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the Meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and National Assembly of Byelorussia Republic is held

The Meeting is held under the Chairmanship of Mykola Tomenko, the vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Co-Chairman of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and National Assembly Byelorussia Republic and Vice-Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Byelorussia Republic.

Opening the Meting the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lytvyn has characterized the situation in Ukraine as "stable its complexity" and stressed that the Intensification of the cooperation between two countries is of peculiar importance on the account of "the rapid process of the world polarization, intensification of the globalization".

M. Tomenko has emphasized that after the considerable break in the meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission there is a need in "fix the algorithm of the cooperation".

The vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has also declared that Byelorussia should be full-ledged member of the Program "Eastern Partnership".

Still he announced that for Ukraine, the membership in the "Eastern Partnership" should not be an obstacle on the way to the membership in European Union.

Vice-Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Byelorussia Republic, Valeriy Ivanov pointed out the attention on the fact that "interparliamentary cooperation is one of the most important objectives in the cooperation between two countries"

During the meeting the issues on the cooperation in interregional working cooperation that is of the highest priority for Byelorussia were discussed.

It was stressed that the cooperation on the overcoming of the consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster should be also discussed,

As a result of the Meeting, the Protocol of the interparliamentary Commission should be signed.
