It was stressed during the meeting that Dnipropetrovsk Region is one of the most polluted in Ukraine. The whole territory of the region belongs to the category of much polluted.
The main polluters of the Dnipro water basin remains industry 63%, communal economics 26%, agricultural complex 10% and other spheres not more than 1%.
The Members of the Committee stressed that according to the Program it is envisaged that the building of the water protecting zones should have been completed until year 2000. Fir the present moment it is completed for the 1%. Because of the absence of the water protecting zones, the illegal building is held.
It was also mentioned that on the territory of Dnipropetrovsk Region more than 8,7 mln. tones of everyday and industrial waste is accumulated.
In year 2008 form 145 planned by the enterprises-polluters air protecting measures was accomplished only 34.
After the discussion the Committee stipulated to generalize the expressed propositions regarding the accomplishment of "Program on the Improvement of the Ecological state of Dnipropetrovsk Region at the expense of the Decrease of the Pollution of Environment by Main Enterprises-Polluters for the Years 2007-2015" and resolve decisions during the next meeting.
