“It is important for us to continue cooperation with Latvia at the global level,” -- Dmytro Razumkov
During his official visit to the Republic of Latvia, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine laid flowers at the monument to Taras Shevchenko.
Dmytro Razumkov also met with the local Ukrainian community and thanked them for preserving and spreading the national culture.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada noted that Latvia has always been and remains to be a trusted and steady partner to Ukraine, in particular in the fight for its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
“Our Latvian colleagues are advocating Ukraine at various levels and at the same time helping to rehabilitate our servicemen, political prisoners and children affected by the war. Latvia has never changed its position in the international arena. It is really important for us to continue this cooperation, including the Council of Europe,” the parliament’s chairman underlined.
In addition, Dmytro Razumkov visited the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia.
