The Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy recommends that the Parliament adopt the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On State Regulation of Production and Circulation of Ethyl Alcohol, Cognac, Fruity Alcoholic Drinks and Tobacco Goods"

The Bill (Reg.№3634) introduced by the People´s Deputy M. Kruglov, envisages the expunging form the current law principles that implement minimal wholesale and retail prices for the alcoholic drinks and allot the authority to the Cabinet of Ministers to implement minimal wholesale and retail prices for the alcoholic drinks

During the meeting it was stressed that "implementation of the minimal prices forces the domestic commodity producers to artificially increase the price to the rate of minimal price that does not take into consideration the fact that there are divergent technological peculiarities while producing the cognate goods etc"

The Committee upholds the Bill.
