INFORMATION concerning results of work of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at the plenary meetings on 5 March 2009.
40 issues of the agenda were scrutinized, including 35 Bills, 26 Draft Resolutions, and motions of the President of Ukraine concerning 6 Laws of Ukraine.
Due to the results of the scrutiny:
- 13 Laws and 23 Resolutions were adopted;
- 7 Bills were adopted as a basis;
- 1 Bills and 2 Draft Resolutions were forwarded for the repeated First Reading;
- 1 Bill was returned to the Committee for elaboration for the repeated Second Reading;
- 8 Bills and 1 Draft Resolution were declined.
Due to the results of the scrutiny of the President´s motion:
- 2 Laws were adopted with account of the President´s motions;
- the veto of the President of Ukraine imposed on 1 Law was overridden;
- 1 Law was forwarded for further elaboration to the profile Committee;
- 2 Laws were rejected.
