Mykola Tomenko: Strict Principles in Relations between the Ruling Power and Opposition is the Guarantee of the Working Capacity of the Parliament

Taking part in the program "Liberty of Speech" on "ICTV" channel, the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mykola Tomenko pointed out the attention on the importance of the determination and sticking to the strict principles in the cooperation between the authority and the opposition.

"Even though we failed to adopt the Law "On Opposition" in its entirety, now we need to stick to certain rules and agreements between power and opposition", - he emphasized.

In particular, concerning the possible dismissal of Oleksandr Lavrynovych from the office of the First Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, M. Tomenko reminded that after the negotiations between the political powers, the agreement was reached that the post of the First Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine belongs to the opposition, in particular to the biggest faction in the Verkhovna Rada Party of Regions.
