The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lytvyn during the official Visit to the Kingdom of Denmark has met the President of Folketing (Parliament of Denmark), Thor Pedersen, and the members of the Folketing Presidium

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lytvyn during the official Visit to the Kingdom of Denmark has met the President of Folketing (Parliament of Denmark), Thor Pedersen, and the members of the Folketing Presidium

V. Lytvyn announced that "it is probably like a symbol that Ukrainian Delegation stays with the visit on the day of the diplomatic relations establishment between our countries".

"We hope that the cooperation between our Parliaments that is between our countries will be even more close", - V. Lytvyn declared

The Chairman announced that all the political powers represented in the Parliaments are unique concerning European choice of Ukraine".

On his part, President of the Folketing stressed that one of the main perspectives in work in the Denmark Parliament is interparliamentary cooperation.

T. Pedersen declared that Denmark Parlaimentarians support European ambitions of Ukraine and assured that the representatives of the Folketing will make everything possible to provide the most productive cooperation between Ukraine and European community.

Answering on the questions concerning membership in NATO, V.Lytvyn mentioned: "this problem divides Ukraine". Nevertheless he stressed that Ukraine will continue its cooperation with Alliance.

According to V. Lytvyn the main indicator of the safety in country is "consolidation and stability inside the state".

The participants of the meeting touched upon the problems of the world crisis and its solutions.
