The Bill (Reg. No.2427) "introduces a legal mechanism to satisfy citizens´ needs concerning receipt of land plots in accordance with the norms established by the Land Code for farming, private farmstead, gardening, construction and maintenance of a residence house, household buildings and edifices, private cottage construction, construction of private garages, free privatization of such plots".
However, the Committee members object to the proposal, pursuant to which, the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction is to act as an arbitrator in case of denial in privatization of land plots, as the status of the Ministry fails to presuppose such authorities. Moreover, in accordance with effective legislation, the Ministry is not commissioned to regulate land relations.
