On Wednesday V.Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met Per Stig Moller, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
The Parties exchanged their opinions concerning Ukraine´s prospects of Euro-integration, relations between Ukraine and Russia, political and economic situation in Ukraine.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that Ukraine was in need of assistance of the European Community, especially in the form of an Agreement with the European Union concerning political association and economic integration.
Dwelling upon Ukrainian-Russian relations, V.Lytvyn stated that he failed to agree with the necessity to revise the agreements reached in the said field.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark expressed his concern with the fact that a complicated situation in Ukraine could lead to the setback of democracy. In his turn, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine confirmed "the existence of potential danger". "However, the acting Parliament will become a pledge that such danger will not come true", - stated V.Lytvyn.
Ukrainian parliamentary delegation also took part in the grand opening of a memorial plaque on the building where the diplomatic mission of the Ukrainian People´s Republic worked.
According to V.Lytvyn, the opening of the memorial plaque testifies of Ukraine´s presence in Denmark.
