Speaker Razumkov speaks at European Conf of Presidents of Parliament of CoE member states

The speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine delivered his speech at the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament of the Council of Europe member states

As part of his first foreign visit, the Chairman Dmytro Razumkov took part in the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament of the Council of Europe member states (Strasbourg, France).

In his speech, he underlined that almost twenty five years ago Ukraine acceded to the club of democratic countries by joining the Council of Europe.

While this period of membership was not always unequivocal, the Council of Europe has always remained an important international platform for finding common and timely responses to the challenges of the times.

“Mentally, our country has always belonged to the European House of Free Nations.  And we believe that the values and principles laid down by the founders of the Council of Europe remain relevant today as well,” the politician stressed during the speech.
