The Bill (Reg. No.1238) introduces amendments to the Family Code of Ukraine that aim at establishment of the amount of alimony in case their minimum rate is legally increased. The amendments enhance protection of the rights of children and other persons who receive alimony.
Thus, if after the amendments to the Ukrainian legislation concerning minimum rate of alimony for a child, the rate of alimony established by court as a part of wages (income) of child´s mother or father is smaller than the minimum alimony rate envisaged by Part 2 of Article 182 of the Code, then the receiver of alimony can appeal to court with a request concerning a corresponding increase of alimony.
