Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has referred letters as after the Meeting with the Representatives of the Public Organizations of Afghan Veterans that was held on Monday to the Prime-Minister, the Mayor of a Kyiv City, L. Chernovetskiy and the Chairman of the Committee on the Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and the Disabled, V.Sushkevych

In the letter referred to the Prime-Minister of Ukraine, V. Lytvyn emphasize the necessity of reviewing the pension administration of the participants of the military operations who was declared disabled and the members of the families of lost solders-internationalists and introduce the essential legislative propositions.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems it necessary to immediately decide the issue on allotment of 108 vehicles for the Afghan disabled and provide the solders-internationalists with the sanatoriums recreation, medicines etc.

V. Lytvyn also appealed to the Government in order to allot the necessary amount of money supposed by the State Budget for the Year 2009 and on the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Withdrawal of Troops of the former Soviet Union from the territory of Afghanistan.

In the letter referred to the Kyiv mayor, V. Lytvyn appeals to find the opportunity to hold the meeting with the Representatives of the Public Organizations of Afghan Veterans

In the letter referred to the Chairman of the Committee on the Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and the Disabled, V. Ltvyn recommends that the People´s Deputy who are members of the Committee hold the meeting on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of Withdrawal of Troops of the former Soviet Union from the territory of Afghanistan.
