Sitting of Conciliation Commission

Opening today’s conciliation board, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov stressed that the Verkhovna Rada had worked more quickly than ever before and expressed his hope that the pace and quality of its work would be kept from now on.

The speaker of parliament congratulated the chamber on the start of a new plenary round and reminded that during the past plenary week there had been adopted twenty one bills on the second reading, and seven ones on the first reading.

There was also presented a draft state budget of Ukraine for 2020 (the bill No. 2000).

The budget proposals should have been submitted by October 1, and the line committee should finalize the bill by October 15. The first reading of the bill is tentatively scheduled for Friday, October the 18th.

In addition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada informed that the government had submitted on September 29 the programme of its activities and it would be considered   on October the 4th.

D.Razumkov gave the floor to representatives of parliamentary factions and groups.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the current plenary week draft agenda would be supplemented.  In addition, it is planned to include on the agenda the so-called transitional bills adopted on the first reading by the past convocation of the Verkhovna Rada.

During the next plenary week, October 7-11, parliamentarians shall work in their committees.

Representatives of parliamentary factions and groups, as well as the deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk and a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers at the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Vereshchuk spoke at the meeting.

Dmytro Razumkov gave the floor to chairmen of parliamentary committees.

Closing the meeting of the Conciliation Commission, the Chairman stated: “I do understand when you work fast, you can make mistakes, however I am deeply convinced that it is better to work and make mistakes against idling away faultlessly. That's what we've been doing for many years and, I think, it's over".
