The Bill (Reg.№3428) prepared by the People´s Deputy A. Grytseniuk, envisages the addition to the item 67 of the Criminal Code by the list of circumstances that aggravate the punishing by two more "perpetration of crime by the person concerning failure to comply its course of duty" and "perpetration of crime out of lucrative impulses".
the author also recommend that the item 368 of the Criminal Code should be added by the following qualifying principles as bribery "on extreme large extensions", "committed by the local self-governing bodies officials", "judges, prosecutors, criminal investigators".
Project for the bribery at extreme large extensions envisages the implementation of the following punishment:
-in common case - deprivation of liberty for a term of 15 years;
- for the people that occupy the position of responsibility except judges, prosecutors, criminal investigators - deprivation of liberty for a term of 15 years with the deprivation of the right to occupy the same office for the term within 3 years and with the forfeiture of estate;
-for the judges, prosecutors, criminal investigators - life sentence with the forfeiture of estate
The members of the Committee after the discussion declared that the Bill is essential and requires top priority scrutinizing in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The people´s Deputies expressed several amendments that according to them should be improved.
The Committee upheld the Bill as its adoption will facilitate the fighting against corruption.
