The Chairman of the Committee I. Kaletnik stressed that "the Department on fighting Organized Corruption subordinate to the State Department on Fighting Organized Crime of Ukraine under the Ministry on Interior Affairs of Ukraine is charged with the investigation and cessation of corruption among state officials (1-3 categories), court officials, military and supervising officials".
The members of the Committee supported the proposition of Ministry on Interior Affairs to envisage 9,4 mln UAH in State Budget 2009 for the "renewal of facilities and equipment of Subdivisions on Fighting Organized Crime".
