The Chairman of the Ukrainian Part of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and European Union declared that "in year 2008 it was the first time that two Meetings of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation were held and it testifies the deepening of the Parliamentary Cooperation".
In particular, the 10th Meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation was held in Brussels, the main ideas of which were that "the Relations between Ukraine and EU will enter soon new level, its basis in the political and legislative sphere should be new treaty between Ukraine and EU and in economic one zone of free trade between Ukraine and EU".
Moreover the 11th Meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation was held in October 2008, its plenary part was held in Kyiv and assize one - in Yalta. ‘The treaty on Association between Ukraine and EU was appreciated during the Meeting", "The issues on Cooperation also were scrutinized on the Meeting".
B. Tarasiuk stressed that the main aim for development is to grant the Committee with the status the same as the Common Parliamentary Committees that EU Parliament form with the Countries-Candidates for entering EU".
