The Bill (Reg. No.2562) defines principles, main orientations of governmental policy in the field of physical culture and sports, authorities of the public administration and local self-government bodies, subjects of the sector of physical culture and sports and their legal status, forms of physical-recreational and mass sports activity among the different groups of the population.
While preparing the Bill for the Second Reading, the Committee members received 118 motions from the subjects of legislative initiative.
The People's Deputies upheld the amendment, pursuant to which, "the central executive body in charge of physical culture and sports issues a permission for purchase, storage, carriage and transportation of sports weapon in compliance with effective legislation".
The Committee members also upheld the amendments to Article 52, pursuant to which, "the State defines requirements for the sports buildings concerning construction standards and rules, sanitary regulations, standards of health protection and visitors' safety; provides financing for the upkeep of sports buildings and establishments of physical culture and sports in the public ownership; renders financial support to the sports buildings and establishments of physical culture and sports in other forms of ownership in accordance with the list approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine".
