The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lytvyn appeals to the President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko with the Request to pay the Attention of the Ministry on Foreign Affairs to the Necessity to stick Steadily to the Principles of the Law of Ukraine "On Diplomatic Service" concerning the nomination of the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lytvyn appeals to the President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko with the request to pay the attention of the Ministry on Foreign Affairs to the necessity to stick steadily to the principles of the Law of Ukraine "On Diplomatic Service" concerning the nomination of the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

In letter, V.Lytvyn reminds that the Law "On Diplomatic Service" was adopted by the Parliament on 20th of September 2001.

"During the current year the adoption of 33 Ambassadors took place. Unfortunately, the Ministry on Foreign Affairs only twice appealed to the Committee on Foreign Affairs for consultations(regarding the adoption of 13 Candidates for the Posts) that are obligatory according to item 13 of the Law of Ukraine "On Diplomatic Service", - declares the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

"Consequently I would like to Ask You, Mister President, Viktor Andriyovych, to point the attention of the Chairmen of the Ministry to the necessity to fully comply the principles of the Law of Ukraine "On Diplomatic Service" and , in particular its item №13", - as it was stated in the Letter.
