The Committee on fighting Organized Crime and Corruption calls for forwarding the Bill "On State Financial Monitoring over Declaration of Income and Expenditures of Persons authorized to fulfill Functions of the State" for further Elaboration

The Bill (Reg. No.3036) offers legislative regulation of the issue concerning declaration of property, income and expenditures by the high-ranking officials of Ukraine.

 

The Committee members also deem necessary to secure effective State financial monitoring over declaration of property, income and expenditures by the high-ranking officials of Ukraine.

 

However, relevant issues have already been regulated in the effective legislation of Ukraine. The People´s Deputies believe that adoption of a separate legislative act will result in discrepancies between the Laws that define declaration of income as a duty of officials of public authority and local self-government bodies. Moreover, adoption of the Bill should be accompanied by amendments to relevant Laws. However, the Bill fails to envisage such amendments.
