The Bill (Reg. No.2609) introduces amendments to Articles 107 and 238 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements in order to enhance public regulation of legal relations concerning institution of administrative proceedings for violation of quarantine of animals and other veterinary-sanitary rules.
The Committee members stated that in the EU legislation, regulation of activity of the sanitary-veterinary services complied with the regulations of Directive 97/78 of the European Union Council of 18 December 1997 concerning principles of organization of veterinary checks on products, and Regulation of the European Union №854/2004 of 29 April 2004 concerning special rules of organization of official control over the products of animal origin.
The People´s Deputies stated that the Bill complied with the regulations of EU legislation.
