Pursuant to the Bill (Reg. No.3185), pensions of the scientists employed at the State enterprises, organizations, companies, higher education establishments should be paid at the expense of the State budget, and the pensions of the employees of the non-governmental scientific institutions and organizations at the expanse of the Pension Fund. By counting the rate of average wages for calculation of pensions, all types of income obtained from scientific activity should be taken into account. Recalculation of scientific pensions should be performed due to the standards envisages for the public officials in accordance with the Law "On the Public Service".
The People´s Deputies stated that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was to scrutinize Bills №2761 and №2691 that alter the procedure of provision of pensions to the scientists. The People´s Deputies deem reasonable to set up a working group including the authors of legislative initiative, Parliamentary Committees, relevant Ministries and departments in order to work upon these Bills systemically.
