Mykola Tomenko: Parliament´s channel "Rada" should expand educational component of its broadcasting.
Today Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met the directors of the Management of Television and Radio Programs of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in order to dwell upon the prospects of development of the Parliament´s channel "Rada".
The participants of the meeting deem necessary to settle the problem related to inadequate funding of the Parliament´s television channel. Thus, lately the Channel "Rada" has been able only to pay wages to its employees and cover communal public services.
Mykola Tomenko deems necessary to expand educational component of broadcasting of the Channel in question. The participants of the meeting reached an agreement that the Management of Television and Radio Programs of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine would elaborate a new concept of development of the channel as the one with educational and social orientation.
Thus, a number of programs that promote history, culture, modern judicial system of Ukraine, natural recourses and tourist capacities of our country will be substantially increased.
