Mykola Tomenko: Olexandr Dovzhenko returns to his Motherland.
On Saturday, 15 November, Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, will make a visit to Chernihiv region due to the preparation to the anniversary of Olexandr Dovzhenko, outstanding Ukrainian writer, film director and screenwriter, that will be celebrated on 25 November.
Thus, Mykola Tomenko will meet the teachers and pupils of Sosnytsia (the place of birth of a famous artist), and present his own project "Ukraine needs its Heroes" that envisages holding of various events aimed at popularization of outstanding historic figures of Ukraine.
The Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will present the Literary-Memorial Museum of Olexandr Dovzhenko in Sosnytsia with unique audio records of Olexandr Dovzhenko´s speech at the 2nd congress of the USSR writers, records of "Zacharovana Desna" performed by Olexandr Hay and Yuriy Tymoshenko, radio records of his most famous literary works recorded at the National Radio Broadcasting Company of Ukraine.
Mykola Tomenko will also present the museum with equipment necessary for demonstration of these records in the course of excursions and out-of-school lessons at the museum.
