N.Korolevska, Committee Chairman, stated that "under the conditions of financial crisis, authorities are trying to elaborate the system of measures to be taken in order to suspend its development". However, "it is necessary to establish principles obligatory for all the participants of the market". She also stated that "at present, entrepreneurs should demonstrate their initiative, contributing to the elaboration of such new rules of play in economy".
In order to settle the problems, N.Korolevska deems necessary to hold a tax reform aimed at reduction of tax load on entrepreneurs, and reform the regulatory sector.
The participants of the round table discussion recommended that the Bill "On the State Budget of Ukraine for Year 2009" envisaged extra expenditures in the amount of 250 million UAH for regular funding in 2008, and extra funding in 2009 of the budgetary program on partial compensation of interest rates due on credits granted to the subjects of small and middle-sized business for implementation of investment projects.
The participants of the round table discussion presented the motions of the IFC Project "Business Environment and Development of Entrepreneurship in Ukraine" regarding overcoming of recessionary situation in the small and middle-sized business.
