At the morning plenary meeting of The Verkhovna Rada, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, confirmed his willingness to resign from the chairmanship of the Parliament.

 

"I will resign office of the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at any moment", - stated Arseniy Yatseniuk, and suggested that the Deputies should pass a relevant resolution.

 

"If it concerns political insinuations and intention to deprive the Parliament of a leader and take part in early elections, then the scheme is clear", stated the Head of Ukrainian Parliament. He remarked that in case the People´s Deputies had a candidacy for a new Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada, he would put it to the vote "at any moment".   

 

"But do not give up a single legislative body!", - added Arseniy Yatseniuk.

 

Furthermore, due to the relevant request of the Party of Regions, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine put to the vote the matter concerning supplementing the agenda with the issue on endorsement of his resignation appeal. However, 220 out of 226 necessary endorsed a relevant resolution.
