Mykola Tomenko: President´s Secretariat creates conditions for effective work of the Parliament.
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated that instead of the Constitutional Court the officials of President´s Secretariat and representatives of the President in the Government had recently declared The Verkhovna Rada ineligible. However, leaders of the Supreme Court, all parliamentary Factions (except of deputies of "Our Ukraine") adhere to Part 1 of Article 90 of the Fundamental Law, which states that authorities of the current parliament "are terminated on the day the first meeting of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of a new convocation is opened".
"Such a tough anti-constitutional stand of President´s team creates conditions for effective work of the Parliament. Effectiveness means not only voting for "antirecessionary" bills appertaining to the social and economic situation in Ukraine, but also adoption of resolutions that would stop governing of the President´s Secretariat at its own discretion", - stated Mykola Tomenko.
Mykola Tomenko was pleased to note that representatives of the President´s Secretariat upheld position of the BYuT concerning necessity of adoption of "antirecessionary" bills and were already willing to "share" the loan of the International Monetary Fund, which was the subject of conversation between Yulia Tymoshenko, Prime-Minister of Ukraine, and Ceyla Pazarbasioglu, Head of the IMF Mission.
Mykola Tomenko stated that it was to early to "share" this loan, as the Parliament was still to adopt a relevant ratification concerning conditions of loan issue.
