The Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Doping Control in Sports" as a Basis

Taking due account of international commitments of Ukraine, the Bill (Reg.No.2753) defines basic legal, social and economic and organizational terms of participation of public bodies, officials, institutions and organizations irregardless of the form of ownership in detection, prevention and control over use of doping substances and methods.  Moreover, the Bill envisages development and realization of effective methods for combating use of doping, adherence to ethical standards of fair sports competition, and prevention of negative influence of doping on health conditions of Ukrainian citizens.   

In accordance with requirements of the World Antidoping Agency, it is necessary to render proper premises to the laboratory of the National Antidoping Center, and settle the issue related to the increase of budget funding of the Center.   

The Committee members believe that adoption of a new version of the Law will be of great significance for the development of Olympic, Paralympic movement and sports of higher achievements.
