Mykola Tomenko: Economy has finally united Ukrainian Parliament.
"In the current difficult situation connected with the global financial crisis, economic cooperation, especially search for new approaches in international cooperation is of particular importance. Economy has become more determinant, than politics and it is obvious not only in Ukraine, but also in the whole world", - stated Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, at the meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, Duke of York.
At present, Duke of York works at the UK Ministry of Trade and Industry as a Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.
Mykola Tomenko commented on the situation in Ukrainian Parliament and expressed his contentment with the fact that economy had finally united The Verkhovna Rada. He also expressed his hopes that Ukrainian Parliament would work actively and effectively, irregardless of a complicated political situation in the country, in order to settle urgent social and economic issues.
The Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also characterized Ukrainian-British cooperation as one of the most efficient and dynamic.
