On Saturday, 14 October, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, will make a Working Visit to Chernivtsi

On Saturday, 14 October, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, will make a working visit to Chernivtsi. 

The schedule of the visit envisages participation of the Head of the Parliament in several events devoted to the 600th anniversary of Chernivtsi. 

Thus, A.Yatseniuk will attend the rally held on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of Chernivtsi, present the residents Chernivtsi with awards of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for great services to the homeland, and participate in the grand procession around the city.  

Before the rally, A.Yatseniuk will lay the foundation stone of the monument to Franz Joseph I who concerned himself with development of science, support of education in Western Ukraine, and opened the department of divinity in Chernivtsi Yuriy Fedkovych University. 

Within the scope of the visit, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will open an exhibition of tactile photos for the visually impaired "To Touch and See" organized by the Fund "Open Ukraine" founded by A.Yatseniuk.   

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will also attend the assembly dedicated to the 600th anniversary of Chernivtsi, visit the local artistic museum.  

A.Yatseniuk will also visit Chernivtsi Yuriy Fedkovych University, from which he graduated in 1996.
