The Parties discussed the results of a recent summit Ukraine the EU, the situation in the Caucasus, new tendencies of foreign policy of the Russian Federation and political situation in Ukraine.
Borys Tarasiuk, Committee Chairman, expressed his gratitude to the Swedish party for support of Euro-integration pursuits of Ukraine, especially concerning common Polish-Swedish initiative regarding Eastern dimension of European Neighbourhood Policy.
B.Tarasiuk commented on the results of a recent summit Ukraine the EU, and stated that "Ukraine welcomes agreement of the European Union concerning the name of a new treaty the Agreement on Association".
The Parties declared the importance of uniting efforts of international community around principles of international law and the UN Charter in order to regulate conflict between the Russian Federation and Georgia with securing sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Georgian State.
