The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Television and Radio Broadcasting" (re Coordination of certain Regulations of the Law in question with the Constitution of Ukraine)

The Bill (Reg. No.3140) introduces amendments to the effective Law appertaining to the definition of status of the National Television Broadcasting Company of Ukraine and the National Radio Broadcasting Company of Ukraine, procedure of appointment and dismissal of the managers, refusal from establishment of public councils before the creation of the Social television and radio broadcasting of Ukraine.

 

Pursuant to the Bill, "managers of the National Television Broadcasting Company of Ukraine and the National Radio Broadcasting Company of Ukraine are appointed and dismissed by The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the grounds of the motion submitted by at least one third of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine from the constitutional composition of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine".
