Dear fellow citizens!


With great respect and thanks we celebrate the Tankman Day on Sunday, September the 9th.

This is a day of Ukrainian heroes who, with their undying devotion to Ukraine, with courage and martial prowess stopped the Russian aggressor.

2014 was the hardest one for our boys, becoming a test for the strength and vigour of Ukrainian armour. And the test was passed through by the tankers perfectly.

Ukrainian tankmen courageously hold the armoured shield of Europe ahead of the war for the safety and peace of the entire free world.

And the slogan of Ukrainian independence, freedom and dignity - today’s military greetings of "Glory to Ukraine!" - has been notched out on the armour of enemy - Russian - tanks burned down to ashes.

We will always remember the hero-tankers, who, at the cost of their own lives, stopped the Russian aggressor throughout the Donbas. The fights involving our tank and mechanized units in the Donetsk and Luhansk airports, Piesky, Rubizhne, Opytne, Shchastia, Tonenke, Lutuhyne, Debaltseve, Sloviansk entered the history of Ukraine for evermore as a great example of invincibility, courage and daring.

Please accept my sincere congratulations, dear soldiers, tankers, I wish you sound health and prosperity.  Your warrior’s ardour, patriotism and professionalism are an invaluable contribution to the defence of Ukraine.
