Chair’s address on 26th anniversary of Ukraine’s MI

Dear friends,
I sincerely congratulate you all, officers and veterans of the Military Intelligence of Ukraine, on your professional holiday. This holiday is a testimony to the recognition of the special role that the military intelligence plays in the system of the intelligence organs of our state, a symbol of the commemoration of everyday warrior’s trade and the dedication of many generations of intelligence soldiers.
In accordance with the current legislation, the activity of military intelligence, aimed at protecting Ukraine's national interests from external threats, contributes to the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of national security and defense.
Extremely important role is played by a fine data mining and analytical processing of intelligence information, timely revelation of plans, intentions and actions threatening national security, prompt and non-biased informing of the senior government in order to make important strategic decisions.
The value of intelligence activities is particularly increasing at the time when the Russian Federation is waging a brutal and unconcealed war against our country. Today, heroic reconnaissance troops are actively involved in measures to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
I am deeply convinced that valiant military intelligence officers, serving faithfully to the Motherland, fulfilling their constitutional tasks for the sake of security and peace in our country, will always be an example of the highest patriotism, professionalism, proactivity, perseverance and self-sacrifice.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall continue to do the needful to improve the legal framework for military intelligence, to support initiatives on comprehensive provision of intelligence units with state-of-the-art equipment and military equipment, to introduce an effective system of state guarantees for social protection of people who belong to the most respected professions in our society.
I wish you all sound health, personal joy, courage and optimism, great success in protecting the peaceful life of Ukrainians, strengthening the national security of Ukraine.
