The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On the List of Monuments of Cultural Heritage not liable to Privatization"

The Law ratifies the list of monuments of cultural heritage not liable to privatization.

 

Pursuant to the Law, "a monument can be privatized, provided a future owner concludes a preliminary agreement on conclusion of future protection agreement on a monument (its part) with a relevant body in charge of protection of cultural heritage. The said agreement should include the information concerning purpose-oriented use of a monument, and description of works that a future owner is to perform in order to maintain the due conditions of a monument".

 

A relevant Bill was registered at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by Reg. No. 0928.
