Dear friends,
I heartily congratulate you on the Day of Knowledge. The holiday of September the 1st does remain in the memory of each person. Some people associate this day with their school years, while more remembered for others is their learning at a college, a vocational school or a higher education institution. Or, maybe, a young teacher was more worried when he was going to teach his first lesson.
The Day of Knowledge is a holiday that unites millions of Ukrainians - those for whom the bell chimes for the first time, and those who have just experienced the joy of a graduation party, as well as those who are already on the path of their professional growth or those who devoted their life to hard educational work.
I am sending my warmest greetings to our teachers, mentors, educators, tutors who are the backbone of our society and our state. In difficult times for our country, the workers of the educational sphere faced new vital and challenging tasks - to educate genuine citizens and patriots of Ukraine, to revive high moral, ethical and civic values in the Ukrainian society, to teach the young to live in a united and indivisible country. The face of Ukraine’s tomorrow depends on them heavily.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine consistently takes all necessary steps for the development of domestic education.
Our goal is a highly developed, wealthy and powerful country of free and enlightened citizens.
Therefore, I believe that this academic year will become emblematic for our domestic education, which will strengthen the country's potential, generate and discover new stars of Ukrainian science, education, culture, economy and sports.
For all of you, I wish a sound health, perseverance, belief in your own strength, inexhaustible energy and constructive accomplishments in the academic year to come!
