22 September 2008, 11:04

The Bill (Reg. No.3060) "defines legal and organizational principles of economic activity, and declares that the Economic Code is no longer effective, as its regulations fail to comply with the Civil Code".

The Bill provides an exhaustive list of organizational and legal forms of the legal entities - subjects of entrepreneurship.

The Bill includes regulations, pursuant to which, economic activity aimed at generation of profit is entrepreneurial activity (entrepreneurship), and economic activity aimed at achievement of economic, social and other results and conducted without profit is a non-profit (non-commercial) economic activity.

The Committee members resolved to appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers with a request to elaborate and bring forward a Draft Economic Code in a new version, having coordinated its regulations with the Civil Code and other laws of Ukraine.
