The Committee on European Integration upholds the Bill on Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine regarding Currency Regulation

The Bill (Reg. No.2616) was elaborated in order to enhance the system of information exchange between the public bodies in charge of control over foreign economic activity. Moreover, the Bill aims at regulation of the issue concerning disclosure of information that involves banking secrecy to the said bodies by the banks.  

According to the Committee members, in the European Union, the field of banking law that encompasses the Bill in question, is regulated by the Guideline 2005/60/EU of the European Parliament and the Council of 26 October 2005 on prevention of use of financial system with the purpose of money laundering and funding of terrorism.  

The People´s Deputies stated that the Bill complied with the said Guideline.
