The author of the bill (Re.№3090) the People´s Deputy Yu. Kostenko has given reasons for the adoption of such bill as "the necessity of receiving from the corresponding officials the objective and detailed information on the situation in Chornomorsk region and taking into consideration the latest events in Georgia".
The Chairman of the Committee A. Grytsenko declared that: "We must discuss the issue on the security in Chornomorsk Region, the basing of the Chornomorsk Navy of Russian Federation. new principles of the rental payment for its residence, the state of our Armed Forces"
The Committee has adopted the decision to send petitions to the profile state structures and to held the closed Committee meeting on this issue in the second half of the October.
