Oleh Bilorus, Chairman of The Committee on Foreign Affairs, met Merab Antadze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ukraine

In the course of the meeting held at the request of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ukraine, the Parties discussed the prospects of cooperation aimed at support and development of inter-parliamentary relations between Ukraine and Georgia.  

The Parties discussed the situation in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Thus, Merab Antadze underscored that his country "would adhere to the principles of protection of State and border sovereignty, and peaceful settlement of territorial issues".  

Oleh Bilorus stated that the stand of Ukraine concerning Russian-Georgian issue remained inalterable and  implied the necessity to search for peaceful ways of settlement of the conflict. The Committee Chairman called on the Georgian Party to inform about the events in the area of conflict more exhaustively.
