The Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism recommends that the Parliament adopts in its Entirety the Draft Resolution on holding of Parliamentary Hearings in Year 2009 concerning National Adoption and other Forms of Family Upbringing of Children who lost their Family

The Draft Resolution (Reg. No.3039) envisages holding of parliamentary hearings on the subject "On Results of holding a Year of National Adoption and other Forms of Family Upbringing of Children who lost their Family: Problems, Achievements, Objectives, Ways to enhance Legislative Support" on 14 January 2009. 

 

According to the Committee members, due to the results of the first half-year, the number of adopted children has increased by 20 per cent in comparison with the previous year.

 

The People´s Deputies believe that holding of parliamentary hearings will render a possibility to analyze the results of the year of national adoption, define the problems and ways to enhance legislative support.
