On Tuesday, in the course of the working visit, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, visited a flood-stricken village Nyzhny Verbizh in Kolomyia district of Ivano-Frankivsk region. He saw round the flooded houses, surveyed the restoration works, met the local residents, and visited Nyzhny Verbizh comprehensive secondary school of I-III degrees №1.
In the course of his visit to the comprehensive secondary school, A.Yatseniuk surveyed the process of preparation for a new school year. On behalf of the Fund "Open Ukraine", the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine presented the sets for the first-formers which include text-books, school accessories and a rucksack.
In total, the Fund "Open Ukraine" presented 300 sets to the pupils from the flood-stricken regions.
