The Bill (Reg. No.2517) excludes the regulation from the Land Code of Ukraine that envisages free transfer of land plots into the ownership of natural persons and legal entities from the lands in public and municipal ownership within the scope of free privatization. The Bill also simplifies the procedure of free privatization of land plots by the citizens envisaged by Article 118.
According to the Committee members, "the Bill was elaborated in order to eliminate corruption schemes related to the allegedly free allocation of land plots in public ownership". Moreover, the Bill enhances legal regulation of the procedure for allocation of land plots under a lease of citizens and legal entities of Ukraine.
