The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine (re Arrangement of Conditions for Introduction of the State Civil Protection System)

The Bill (Reg. No.2637) coordinates certain legislative acts of Ukraine with regulations of the Law "On Legal Principles of Civil Protection" due to the conversion of the Civil protection troops into the bodies and departments of civil protection.

 

Thus, the Bill amends the Laws "On the State Decorations of Ukraine", "On the General Compulsory State Social Insurance against Unemployment", "On Zone of Emergency Ecological Situation", "On High-Danger Objects", "On Higher Education", "On State Aid to the Families with Children", "On combating Terrorism", "On functioning of the Fuel and Energy Complex in a Special Period".

 

The Committee members believe that adoption of the Bill will arrange due conditions for functioning of the integrated State system for civil protection of the population and territories from technical and natural disasters.
