The attendants of the Round Table deem necessary to offer legislative regulation of the biofuel production and consumption market in order to promote its development.
According to the People´s Deputies, development of the biofuel production and consumption will have the following consequences: "fuel import relief; enhancement of the State energy security; development and stability of activity of the agricultural sector; formation of new workplaces and increase of budget revenue; improvement of environmental conditions".
The attendants of the Round Table discussed several regulations of the Bill "On Amendments and Supplements to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Promotion of Production and Use of Biofuel" (Reg. No. 1114).
Pursuant to the Bill, alternative fuel is a liquid and gas fuel alternative to the traditional types of fuel, produced (extracted) from unconventional sources and types of primary energy.
The People´s Deputies also deem necessary to popularize economic, environmental, social and other benefits of production (extraction) and consumption of alternative fuel.
The attendants of the Round Table resolved to proceed with drafting the regulations of the Bill appertaining to enhancement of mechanisms of biofuel production and consumption.
