The Committee members listened to the report of V.Voyevodin, Chairman of the State Committee on Land Resources.
Thus, according to the reporter, as of 1 June 2008 only 25,6 million hectares of agricultural areas of economic significance out of 41,8 million hectares have been unsoldered. State certificates of land plot ownership were granted to 5,7 million citizens which constitutes 84 per cent of the total number of owners. Thus, it testifies that the fifth part of the citizens failed to receive the State certificates.
The reporters stated that the Government failed to elaborate and bring forward the Bill regarding the legal status of especially important lands.
The People´s Deputies underscored that the State Committee on Land Resources failed to introduce a Single computer-based system for State land cadastre.
According to the Committee members, certain regions and Kyiv have extra departments that employ illegal scheme of land alienation and function alongside with the State services on land resources.
The Committee members resolved to take the report of V.Voyevodin, Chairman of the State Committee on Land Resources, into account. They declared implementation of current legislative acts by the leaders of the said institution regarding elaboration of Bills on reforming land relations in Ukraine as unsatisfactory.
The People´s Deputies recommend that the Draft Resolution on holding of parliamentary hearings concerning the said issue in October 2008 should be brought before Parliament.
