Delegation of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine takes part in the XVII Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan)

Ukrainian parliamentary delegation is headed by Oleh Bilorus, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee.

 

XVII Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly "Transparency in the OSCE" is attended by the parliament members from 56 members States of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

 

The attendants of the Session will discuss a number of urgent issues concerning international cooperation. Inter alia, the attendants will dwell upon activity of the private military and security companies under the conditions of armed conflicts. The issues concerning management of water resources will also be discussed. Moreover, the participants will dwell upon the open access to the archives and revaluation of historic past.

 

The parliament members from the OSCE member States will discuss a number of regional issues, esp. situation in Georgia and Afghanistan.

 

The attendants of the XVII Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will adopt a universal Declaration that will consist of profile resolutions passed in the course of the Session.
