Pursuant to the Bill (Reg. No.2430), the rate of pension provision of the disabled soldiers and sailors of statutory service is increased due to the establishment of a higher ratio to the living wage whilst defining the minimum rate of a disability pension.
The Committee members uphold the legislative initiative related to enhancement of social protection of the said persons. However, they state that the Bill requires due financial and economic argumentation, as well as proposals regarding extra sources of budget revenue to defray expenses.
