The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster upholds the Bill "On Moratorium on Change of the Designated Purpose of Lands for Recreational use in Cities and other Settlements"

The Bill (Reg. No. 2443) proposes to introduce moratorium for a term of five years on change of designated purpose of lands of accomplishment objects of all forms of property for recreational use in cities and other settlements, such as green zones and objects of physical training and sport, including stadiums, sports grounds and playgrounds.

 

It has been also envisaged to broaden an area of lands of recreational use in cities and other settlements securing their 5 to 10 percent growth until 2012.
